Super DIRT Week 52 at Oswego Speedway is less than six months away, but the buildup to Racing’s Biggest Party is already underway.
A new year means a new logo for the 52nd Running of the Northeast’s biggest dirt racing event. And this year, the biggest elements of Super DIRT Week are represented in every corner.
The Name
Front and center are the event’s most recognizable branding elements – the iconic Super DIRT Week font and styling. The letters again use the event’s new red, white and gray color scheme that was adopted last year, signifying a new era for Super DIRT Week at Oswego Speedway.
The Shape
Further honoring Super DIRT Week’s home at Oswego Speedway, the outline of the historic track makes up the oval shape that bonds the logo together.
Leaving no doubt of where Super DIRT Week is again for it’s 52nd Running, “Oswego Speedway” is prominently on display at the bottom of the logo as it has become the foundation of the event.
The Car
For the first time in the history of Super DIRT Week, the event’s logo shares the same Modified silhouette featured in the Super DIRTcar Series logo, identifying the headlining division that birthed the event in 1972.
On the door of the car is the number “52,” signifying the 52nd Running of Super DIRT Week.
And while a subtle detail, the lines that continue off the back of the car to indicate motion were also used off the foot of the “R” on the Super DIRT Week logo to indicate the number of divisions competing in the event – four for the Super DIRTcar Series, DIRTcar 358 Modified Series, DIRTcar Sportsman Series and DIRTcar Pro Stock Series.
Super DIRT Week 52 will begin with early camper load in on Sunday, Oct. 6, and continue throughout the week with endless activity on and off the track, leading to the Billy Whittaker Cars 200 on Saturday, Oct. 12.
