STOP-DWI New York Partners With Super DIRT Week to Raise Awareness

STOP-DWI New York is expanding its partnership with DIRTcar Northeast, becoming a preferred partner with Super DIRT Week 52 to help further its mission of saving lives.

The group will have a strong presence throughout the event, sharing their initiatives and will also be the presenting sponsor of the Feature lineups for the Billy Whittaker Cars 200, Salute to the Troops 150, Chevrolet Performance 75 and DIRTcar Pro Stock 50.

“New York State STOP-DWI is proud to partner with Super DIRT Week, the premier dirt racing event in the northeast, to raise awareness about the importance of responsible driving and reducing impaired driving incidents,” said Tracy Mance, STOP-DWI chairperson. “This collaboration is vital as Super DIRT Week attracts thousands of spectators and participants, making it a perfect platform to reach a wide audience with life-saving messages.

“By joining forces with such a renowed motorsport event, NYS STOP-DWI can amplify its mission of promoting safe, sober driving habits. The high-energy atmosphere of Super DIRT Week presents a unique opportunity to engage racing fans in discussions about the dangers of driving under the influence and how we can work together to prevent tragic accidents on our roads.”

New York State is recognized nationally as a leader in traffic safety and for continual progress in reducing alcohol-related motor vehicle crashes and fatalities. The STOP-DWI program was created by the State Legislature in 1981. Its efforts are funded entirely from fines paid by convicted drunken drivers.

STOP-DWI New York’s mission is to reduce the number of persons killed or injured in alcohol and other drug-related traffic crashes. And to promote DWI prevention as a public priority and coordinate with local efforts in law enforcement, prosecution, probation, rehabilitation, public information, education and administration.
