NAPA Super DIRT Week Tickets and Camping Going Fast
Reserved Camping Almost Sold Out
WEEDSPORT, N. Y. – August 11, 2012 – As NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week XLI nears, race fans are lining up and logging in to purchase tickets for the must-see event of the racing post-season. Reserved camping sites at the New York State Fairgrounds are almost sold out, and tickets for admission and reserved seats are also selling fast as fans in the Northeast and beyond jockey to be a part of the biggest week in DIRTcar racing.
With fewer than 40 reserved camping sites currently available at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, which originally offered nearly 600 reserved spots, potential campers are acting quickly to claim preferred spots. Entire sections, including North Bell Isle, State Fair Boulevard, Tunnel, West End, and Belle Isle sections have already sold out, leaving only spaces in the infield area open for reservations.
Reserved camping at the fairgrounds Super DIRT Week, which runs from Wednesday, Oct. 3, through Sunday, Oct. 7, guarantees a space for overnight campers, includes water and electric, and costs $100 per site. General camping is also available at the fairgrounds for $80.
With plenty of racing action packed into five days, general admission and reserved seating tickets are also hot items, both for events at the fairgrounds and for satellite events at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park in Elbridge, N. Y.
Friday night’s 358-Modified Twin Twenties and Big-Block Modified Triple Twenties “Under the Lights” Oct. 5 promises a spectacle for die-hard race fans and fun-loving neophytes alike. The week’s capstone, the VP Small Engine Fuels 200, brings the best of the Super DIRTcar Big-Block Modified Series drivers to Syracuse’s “Moody Mile” 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, for the series’ longest race of the season.
An available ticket package includes entry for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at the fairgrounds for patrons who purchase tickets for Sunday’s race and Saturday’s Gander Mountain 150, the DIRTcar 358-Modified Series championship. Reserved seats under the package deal are just $100 and general admission is $80.
Thursday features the World of Outlaws Late Model and 358-Modified Series at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park and Saturday the “Greatest Show on Dirt,” the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, invades “The Fast Track” in Elbridge. Adult tickets to either show at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park are $39 and include a FREE fan pit pass if purchased before Friday, Sept. 21.
