SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Sept. 12, 2013 – DirtTrackDigest.com is proud to be the presenting sponsor of the first-ever Triple 10s for DIRTcar Sportsman during STR Trailer Repair Friday Night Lights on Oct. 11 as part of NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week XLII at the New York State Fairgrounds.
The New York-based website is presenting the event in memory of former contributor Tom Ames, who lost his life last year.
DirtTrackDigest.com is the premier website for coverage of Northeast Dirt Modified racing, including all things NAPA Super DIRT Week. Planning is in the final stages to make the coverage of the week-long events at the New York State Fairgrounds the best yet with exclusive articles, photos and videos all week long, as well as up-to-the minute coverage from all events during the week on the Mile and from satellite races, as well, starting on Tuesday night, Oct. 8, at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park in Elbridge, N.Y.
In 2012, the website presented the Tom Ames Memorial for the Pro Stocks at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park and when presented with the opportunity to sponsor the Sportsman qualifying on the Mile Friday night the new ownership group jumped at the opportunity to be a part of the event as a continuation to remember the legacy of Ames. Ames was always looking to promote classes like the Sportsman and there is no way better than to help with that on dirt racing’s biggest stage at NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week.
In conjunction with being the presenting sponsor, DIRTcar and DirtTrackDigest.com have worked out an agreement to give away five pairs of general admission passes to the STR Trailer Repair Friday Night Lights portion of NAPA Super DIRT Week. In addition, one lucky fan will win a grand prize of general admission passes for the entire week at the New York State Fairgrounds. Those looking to enter the contest can visit DirtTrackDigest.com for details.
For those with questions about NAPA Super DIRT Week look no further than to the forum on DirtTrackDigest.com as DIRTcar officials will be sponsoring an official thread. They will answer the questions of drivers and fans alike during the month leading up to the event.
“We are looking forward to a marketing partnership with DIRTcar that will not only benefit both Dirt Track Digest and NAPA Super DIRT Week, but also involves the fans and racers by providing interaction and information on the forum and giving away tickets,” said Mike Mallett, of Dirt Track Digest.
